Grease is an
awesome musical :D I am so glad we're dancing to songs from there for Inunion yay :D
Yesterday's workshop was really engaging (: Haha everyone is like, I miss Dr. Tim. No la, he was really charismatic and funny and made us constantly change seats so that we'd be sitting with someone we didn't know.
REACT tomorrow I am frikking out about combined prac. -.-

title: A Big Thing

I think this has been the most memorable Olympic Games in my life ('cause the only other one I can remember faintly was 4 years ago and I was uh, 11). Somehow the Olympics just got us all excited for various reasons; the different sports, the spectacular displays China put up, the 'controversies' and hot topics, the 'coolness' of the facilities (like Water Cube, yo and cameras that can take 100 images per second) and the fun we had talking about the looks and abilities of athletes. Hahaha (:
Jolyn and Karen with their enormous crushes on... Ha shan't tell you.
Now the four-year wait for the London Olympics begins :D But there's Youth Olympics! Joni said RJ will be hosting some athletes and in 2010 I'll most probably be in RJ muahaha. Can meet people from other countries. (: Btw the London snippet in the closing ceremony was cool man. Like emo hip hop or something.

8 - 24 August 2008THE BEIJING OLYMPICS ARE OFFICIALLY OVER ):
It was a great and suspenseful 16 days. (: Now the TV in school stands silent and we must all turn back with sombre faces to our mundane lives. At least I have recordings! (:
China did a great job as hosts though there are some things people aren't happy about.
'Til next time. Stupid Chem.

title: On a silken thread
I spent almost the whole of today at Lit Seminar and I think that I shouldn't have signed up 'cause I didn't learn much and there's quite a bit to study for SS test on Monday. Sucks man I should have spent the morning studying then go for cell and dinner. Although Joni and Sam managed to catch really good plays
after I left early. Oh man >:( It was quite interesting I guess. It's just me. :P
Today for cell we ended up playing foosball and talking about random stuff haha. I didn't join them for dinner because I felt real guilty about not studying the whole day man.
Ew so nerd go away man. And like everyone has finished their exams already and here I am telling them "Yo I have exams on Monday" and not just some random tests.
Blah I'm dead tired I want to watch men's 10m diving finals at 2am (like what?!) but I'm recording it instead. Tom Daley (: Jolyn is going to watch it so she'll probably tell me the results yay bye!

title: I closed my eyes and put my finger down
Ahhaha Jolyn adores athletes who compete in water sports and even speaking in a British accent reminds her of Tom Daley and gosh there are
so many fan profiles on Facebook I'd like to join only I don't know which and anyway my craze(s) will most probably die down a short while after the Olympics are over PAHH. *grins stupidly*
Responsibilities lie on my shoulders like weights. I'm not sure I'm ready to take them on just yet, but of course, I'll do my best. *bows gallantly*
Chem SPA tomorrow. I will
not die.
Anyway I did okay for Math (: but worse than I expected. Ah heck.

title: Silver again
So I guess it's silver for Singapore! After...48 years. If only the players were local, you know what I mean luh. Yeah they played for Singapore, but what a difference it'd make if people who were born and grew up here were the ones who had actually won that silver medal. (Apparently Tan Howe Liang was also from China :P)
Plus their attitude was like, We can't win China anyway, so let's just play the game and keep our silver. You did us proud but play more optimistically next time.
I wanted to watch diving but I don't have cable tv pfft! D<
Thanks a lot now I've forgotten what I wanted to say.
-.- No one knew which camera to look at.

NDay

Sam was supposed to be in here, but
I didn't catch her la.

RHD Pick-up-sticks hahaha.

(:
We played round-robin Capt's ball at East Coast against other Anglican churches :D Our team got all the way to the finals (:D) but lost it ): The other team was really nice. At least we're still second :D And I have a MEDAL! :D Yo, MEDAL! Haha. It was really fun, except for...episodes in the semi-final *rolls eyes*
I think our team chemistry is good and I got to know some people better. The most important thing is that we had fun (and Belle has eyes only for a certain 'guy in the white singlet' haha). Anyway everyone was great including the Futsal guys and I hope there'll be more of these games (whether inter- or intra-church la) (:
We went for lunch at the East Coast hawker centre (don't know what it's called) and we were all squashed in this pavilion (haha I pity the 4 people who were occupying one corner of it). Good thing, 'cause we'd all have gotten wet when it started to pour like crazy.
Let's hope I got a tiny bit tanner haha but fairness is supposed to be an asset. But anyway I'm dead tired and I'm gonna sleep like now BYE. :D
Cherish it like a diamond; hope it won't be lost.

title: The flame warms the world
Refrain from blogging etc when you're trying to do work. Lah.
-----
I changed my tagboard colours slightly since they're getting boring! I still like my blogskin although I've had it for some time though (don't you think it's Cool and Classic?) (:
I'm tired of mediocrity. I want to be exceptional in something. This way of living is getting boring and I wanna dabble in lots of new things, to try things that I've never attempted and maybe that way you'll find something in you, a flair or spark, that you never knew existed before. Like, I mean, there are so many fun things I'd like to do out there. First you have to find the time, the people, the money(!!), the courage and the don't-bother-what-people-say-about-you-la! attitude. All this for yourself, mainly. Maybe some glory haha.
The
'now' sensation of the Olympics is
Michael Phelps! Haha. Really, the press and maybe the whole world is all hyped up about him. Today's papers were all about how he's probably the best athlete of this century and you'll probably only get to see someone whose performances are so excellent if you're currently under 10 years old. Which I am not haha (: I've asked my mum to record some of his races (since I'm always in school when the finals are on GRR). I must watch some gym too. And diving! (: Amazing Athletes haha.

title: Olympics ;)
Yoz.
Math today was quite easy. Surprisingly. I hope I won't be disappointed. But I think I wrote totally simplistic, not-up-to-standard Chinese luh. Now is the lull and I finally get to feel a little bit more like what I'm supposed to feel.
Olympics! (: It's so exciting to watch this only-once-in-four-years games that's "the highest level of sporting achievement" (haha). Plus the camera angles are REALLY good; anything can be taken super close-up and when a camera emerges from the pool there are hardly any water droplets at all on the lens. Athletes nowadays seem to be getting better and better and constantly breaking world/Olympic records.
*Nudge* Watch for the sport. (Haha Jolyn and her Tom Daley.) And there're more events coming up I'd like to watch :D Like equestrian sports and beach volleyball. Maybe track and field. If only we didn't have to go to school; we could stay at home all day and amuse ourselves watching the best athletes compete with each other haha. (I am feeling squeamish and I think I know why! :P)
I wish that...
Sometimes you cannot help feeling wistful...

No sooner have we finished our
PTs than tests come. -.-
Anyway, after school on Friday we went to
nydc to eat. Actually I thought the dessert was rather disappointing 'cause the description made it seem so mouthwatering (like fudge-cake with French Vanilla and it had a 'WOW' sign beside it) but in the end the fudge turned out to be a mere thin coating on the outside surfaces of the cake and the cake itself was actually dull, brown and non-fudge-and-
chocolatey. :P 11 bucks okay!
Worship & Prayer Night was quite nice though 'cause the prayer was powerful and worship was
NICEE :D Then after that there was food and fellowship
haha.
I kindly acceded to Andrea's request to wear national colours to church today. NO, only a red top. Unlike her (: But anyway I guess Singapore is still okay, with all its idiosyncrasies haha.
Math test on Tue! D: D: There's totally been no time at all to revise anything taught in class luh!
There'll prolly be some photos from National Day/Be Yourself Day/RHD soon. When I have more time to upload them ._. (I think Saturday will be fun :D) Oh yes and anyway, if you wanna read interesting super-pro compositions please go to 'The Beauty of Words' in my links. You won't be disappointed :D

Let's hope Chinese PT is tomorrow.

You took my brokenness
And filled me with Your joy.I've taken on Shakespeare's role for a while. (Lit PT la pfft!) Hey but actually it's quite fun and I'm quite happy with what I've written so far (although my Old English is not that powderful haha!). But my History and Chem PTs are all nicely and primly waiting to be handed up tomorrow :D
Oh haha I wrote another piece of 55 Fiction on Facebook lol (:
Last night Abi and I went for dinner with my aunt for Japanese bbq :D I love the mushrooms wrapped with bacon *gripes* (: We watched 27 Dresses on dvd at her house but it stopped mid-way because I think the player decided to screw up just when it was getting exciting! Hmph. We stayed over at her house and then went to church this morning (: A nice break from the PT-ful life (pun intended).
Yay 210 pictures haha :D

Okay, ta.
